Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, LLC (“Southern Glazer’s")—the
largest North American wine and spirits distribution company—today
announced the appointment of Lee Brian Schrager to Senior Vice
President, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility. Schrager
will report to the Office of the CEO and President, with Wayne Chaplin
as Chief Executive Officer and Shelly Stein as President, respectively.
Schrager joined Southern Wine & Spirits in 2000 as Director of Media
Relations and Special Events. In his newly expanded role, Schrager will
lead communications strategy and corporate social responsibility efforts
for Southern Glazer’s. He will also continue to oversee The Food Network
& Cooking Channel South Beach and New York City Wine & Food Festivals,
and focus on expanding into new markets.
Schrager will be based in Miami, and will move into the new
state-of-the-art facility in the Wynwood Art District later this year,
which will also house the company’s Artisanal Fine Wine & Spirits
division, Special Events, Communications and South Beach Wine & Food
Festival® teams.
Reporting to Schrager includes:
Debbie Litwak , Vice President, Internal Communications. Litwak most
recently served as Vice President, Corporate Communications for
Glazer’s. She has more than 25 years of experience in corporate
communications and marketing. For Southern Glazer’s, Litwak is
responsible for developing and executing communication strategies,
programs and initiatives that effectively engage employees while
promoting the organization and its business objectives. She will be
based in Dallas.
Cindy Haas , Senior Director, Public Relations. Haas is joining Southern
Glazer’s with more than 21 years of experience in public relations and
marketing. Most recently, she served as Group Director, Corporate
Communications & Community Relations for Ryder System, Inc. For Southern
Glazer’s, Haas is responsible for providing company-wide strategy on
media outreach, external communications planning, content development,
editorial support and corporate social responsibility. She will be based
in Miami.
