Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Launches Business-to-Customer eCommerce Team

Responsible for sales growth and enhancing capabilities for trade customers’ three-tier compliant eCommerce businesses

MIAMI & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (“Southern Glazer’s”)—the world's pre-eminent distributor of beverage alcohol—today announced the launch of a new Business-to-Customer eCommerce team, focused on sales growth and enhancing capabilities for their customers’ eCommerce businesses. The dedicated team will be responsible for providing operational excellence, programming and promotions, digital content, category insights and performance management in the eCommerce area, across channels, as well as with online retailers and beverage alcohol delivery platforms. The team will report to David Chaplin, Chief Growth Officer for Southern Glazer’s.

This team complements the Business-to-Business eCommerce capabilities the Company has developed through its industry-leading Proof™ platform, which gives Southern Glazer’s trade customers the convenience of 24/7 online ordering and account management, where they can search the Company’s extensive portfolio of brands, reorder favorites, and browse and discover exciting new products from anywhere and on any device.

The Business-to-Customer eCommerce team is headed by Nathan Mansperger, Vice President, Business-to-Customer eCommerce, who joins Southern Glazer’s with more than 13 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry. Nathan’s most recent role was Chief Growth Officer for Provi, a beverage alcohol eCommerce solutions provider. Prior to that, Nathan held roles of increasing responsibility with Anheuser-Busch InBev, including Director, Regional Trade Marketing, Director, eCommerce, North America, and Global Director, eRetail. Nathan earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Western Carolina University.

Reporting to Nathan is a team of nine highly experienced industry, CPG and eCommerce experts, including both internal hires as well as external hires.
